The 2025 sale bulls are now on the site. Click the photo or name of the bull to view their page. Shorthorn sires this year include AI sires, Polldale Neat and Muridale Phantom. Legs on the ground are Hinewaka Gold 71/18, Glendhu Parkinson, Glendhu Papalii and Browns Unique. Phantom is top 1% All Points Index, has excellent birthweight (top of breed in EBVs) and calving ease. Neat has excellent growth, marbling, fertility and Maternal Weaning weight (kgs weaned per cow). This is measured in a multibreed, multi country evaluation. Hinewaka Gold 71/18 we bought in 2020, he is a huge bull so if you're looking for size, there are some big genetics there. He is throwing growth, fat and carcase weight. Top 1% for 200, 400, 600 day weights, carcase weight, rib fat and IMF (marbling). Top 5% Eye Muscle Area and Mature Cow Weight, top 10% for scrotal and top 15% Milk, top 20% Self Replacing Index. These are NZ Shorthorn EBVs, same evaluation tool that we have for our bulls. Parkinson also has excellent growth and carcase figures. Top 1% of the breed for Eye Muscle Area and Retail Beef Yield, Top 5% for 400D, 600D, Carcase weight, Top 20% for Self Replacing Index and top 25% for 200 day weight. Papalii is a smaller bull with excellent carcase traits. Unique is also a smaller bull with excellent fats. The registered Shorthorn bulls have Breedplan EBV's and I have included some raw data as well. Please bear in mind that you can use the raw data to compare Glenrossie bulls to Glenrossie bulls, not to any other bulls, Shorthorn or otherwise. Different studs weigh and scan their bulls at different times to us so make sure you are comparing apples with apples. Date for the sale is 27th of June, this will be a hybrid sale, held on farm and online via bidr.
